Spike Island is commemorating its 85th anniversary this year by hosting its yearly Family Fun Evening and Fireworks Display. This celebration marks the official handover of Spike Island from Britain to Ireland in 1938. To celebrate this significant event, Spike Island will host an Independence Day celebration on Saturday, July 8th, with a captivating fireworks display, live musical performances, and family-friendly activities.
Experience the Cobh Summer Swing and enjoy the best of Munster’s musical talent at the second free festival event of the season. The festival runs every Sunday until August 7th, with the market opening at 10 AM, offering a variety of handmade crafts, jewellery, and artisan food.
